The traditional Latin text has been set in a contemporary arrangement by Jill Gallina. The harmonies are not difficult, with dissonances present every so often. At some point throughout the piece, each part becomes the independent focus and when all parts sing together, Jill has created a sound that is full and lush. Because of the multiple voicings, “Sanctus” makes a lovely choice for many age levels and choral situations.
