Commissioned by the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, this was the featured work at the 1987 International Children's Choir Festival in Washington, D.C. For three-part treble voices, “Wonderful World” is lilting and child-like as it describes the random travels of the wind and the natural beauty of this planet. For concert, contest, festival, or Earth Day celebrations, this dancing, multimeter octavo is as refreshing as the breezes it describes.
