Written to celebrate the 350th anniversary of the Stadmusikkapell Wilten in Innsbruck, Austria, this is a great piece for a confident and technically assured band. The beautiful slow melody that follows the opening fanfare is passed between many instruments and develops into a sumptuous climax and a fast rhythmic ending. It contains something of interest for all sections of the band and plenty to keep your audience entertained.
