Vincent Cichowicz (1927-2016) was a member of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra from 1952-1974 and a faculty member at Northwestern University from 1959-1998. He is widely regarded as one of the most influential brass pedagogues of the 20th century. These studies represent the core principles of Cichowicz's teaching. The book includes access to demonstration audio tracks online recorded by Thomas Rolfs of the Boston Symphony Orchestra and Larry Knopp of the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra. An introductory video to the “Long Tone Studies” is also included.
