Very few texts by the famous German writer and winner of the Nobel Prize, Grass, have been set to music. The present example juxtaposes a speaking voice and the distinctive sound of the bass flute, conceived during the build-up to the political unrest of 1968 it was premièred by Günter Grass and Aurèle Nicolet.
