Longing for Emmanuel

Welcome Don Hart to our Shawnee community of writers with this combination of a classic carol and a beloved classical theme from Smetana's tone poem “The Moldeau.” This theme is full of pathos and ideally suited to the languishing cry of Israel as it waits for its Reedemer. The use of lovely descants from C-instruments and B-flat instruments adds to the mystery and longing. Prayerful.
