“Jesus shall reign where'er the sun does its successive journeys run.” This first line of the hymn tune DUKE STREET conveys triumph and victory, and so does this arrangement and adaptation for two octaves of handbells. The music begins simply, but soon builds. A second section features the melody in the bass with a gliding, eighth-note accompaniment overhead in the treble. A “Broader” final section offers strong chords to emphasize the triumph with a couple of martellatos at the end to “add proof to the puddin'!”
