Can a classical pianist also improvise? Play without sheet music or by ear? However much we would like the answer to this question to be “Of course!”, unfortunately, few pianists feel comfortable in this area. Furthermore, we are ashamed that after playing the piano for so many years, we cannot play anything by ear or simply play anything without looking at the sheet music.
