Improvisations (for Treble Recorder)
Harald Genzmer figures among the important German composers of the twentieth Century. He wrote works for almost every genre from symphonies to chamber music and piano pieces, from instrumental concertos to solo sonatas. He was particularly interested in writing contemporary music that is accessible and easy to play, which relates to existing traditions and yet creates something new • particularly bearing in mind the interests of amateurs and young players. These Improvisations were written in 2002 and may either be performed individually or as a cycle. They are suitable for teaching purposes, for playing in competitions and for concert performance.
