First performed in 2001 in Amsterdam by Charles Neidich and Ayako Oshima, and recorded by them on Bridge Records. “Hiyoku” is a poetic word, originally used by the ancient Chinese poet, Bai Juyi, later adopted by Japanese authors. It means two birds flying together with the connotation of eternal love.
